University of CT, bachelors 1965. Captain US Army 1966-68; Univ of Ct Law School 1968-71; member of Law Review. Started my own Law firm in Torrington (Manasse, Slaiby and Leard) with offices in Torrington and Kent. My brother Bill is still in the Kent office. Lived in Falls Village for many years. My wife Joan operated a canoe rental business there for years called Riverrunning Expeditions. Had an importing business for Kerosene Heaters for several year and developed a variety of subdivisions and commercial properties. Town Attorney for Falls Village for years. Retired from the firm in 1998 and moved to Cheyenne, WY where I started a hunting and fishing consulting business sending clients all over the globe. Been blessed to see every continent some of them several times. Floated down a wild Siberian River; Outer Mongolia just before it overthrew the communists; Africa 5 times and a bunch more. Love what I do. My family is the best, and my half brother Warren Prindle is an art teacher at HVRHS. Eachof my 2 kids had a boy and a girl, so 4 grandchildren we love a whole bunch.

School Story:

I remember best my first importing business. I would visit my Dad in Brooklyn, Ny ( got to see a bunch of Brookyn Dodger games as he represented Gil Hodges). I would buy pea shooters about a foot long, and 10 pound bags of peas. I would cut the pea shooters into sizes small enough to hide in a fist and sold them for 25 cents along with a handful of peas. I remember bombing Norm Pattberg with peas when he bent over. Ouch! Sorry Norman!
